The King of Rock and Roll howls at the full moon as the beast inside him is revealed. I asked Grok to make an action figure based on what if Elvis Presley was the Wolfman. He must have turned during a concert because he's wearing a torn jumpsuit.
Welcome to Jamdin's blog about action figures, comic books, non-sports trading cards and other collectibles.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 29: Humphrey Bogart as the Mummy Action Figure
Grok's looking at you, kid. Add a fedora to the Mummy and you get a very unique Humphrey Bogart action figure. This should come with a scarab beetle and a Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless gun. A sarcophagus and a 1940 Buick Phaeton car are sold separately.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 28 Bonus: Lita Ford's Dracula Official Music Video
Lita Ford's Dracula dropped yesterday on YouTube so we get a bonus for Women Wednesday:
Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 28: Marilyn Monroe as the Bride of Frankenstein Action Figure
I asked Grok what an action figure of Marilyn Monroe as the Bride of Frankenstein would look like. I wasn't expecting much really but she came out okay enough to show her for this week's Women Wednesday post. I wouldn't immediately recognize her as the actress. She does have the beauty mark but is a bit on the slim side. I was delighted that she was shown still in the package. I would get her just to have her along with the John Wayne as Frankenstein's Monster action figure.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 27: Tiny Nightmares Series 1 Sam Mini Figure
Here's the Samhain aka Sam mini figure from the Tiny Nightmares Series 1 mystery bag. He's the murderous kid dressed as a scarecrow in the Trick 'r Treat movie. Sorry about the dark pictures but my digiital camera is acting up again.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 26: Monster Mash #1
Bloodcurler Comics put out Monster Mash #1 as a one-shot in the mid-1960s and is mostly forgotten even among old-time readers. The cover features Frankenstein's monster, Dracula, the Mummy and the Wolfman on their way to a jam session. There is also a blurb stating that Frankenstein will meet the Phantom in the next issue but that was never published as far as we know. Thanks to Grok for digging up this "lost" issue for this week's Monster Monday post.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 25: The Rocking Chair by Edgar J. Hyde
I think The Rocking Chair has to be one of my favorite books in the Creepers series. The fourteenth book finds Isaac Noel seeing a mysterious old man in a rocking chair on the front porch of the house across the street. He starts showing the kid headlines of disasters that are about to happen in Greensville. The old man eventually introduces himself as a ghost named Leon (a hint of who he really is) and says that he used to be the editor of the local newspaper. He tells Isaac that the ghost of the town founder, Ronald Greensville, is behind the disasters. It's up to the boy to help stop him.
Plenty of creepy scenes with a great twist ending (unless you figure out the early clue, which I did). One of the better books in the series and highly recommended.
Note: This book includes the first chapter of Soul Harvest by Edger J. Hyde, which is the thirteenth book in the Creepers series (yes, that's the previous book).

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 24 Bonus: Clayface Movie Ad
Clayface hit theaters on October 23, 2026 and is loosely based on the Batman villain from DC Comics. The R-rated horror movie stars Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, who becomes a monster made of clay. Rumor has it that he will eventually meet the Dark Knight in a future movie.
Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 24: Soul Harvest by Edgar J. Hyde
Soul Harvest by Edgar J. Hyde is the thirteenth book in the Creepers book series that I recently picked up at the local Dollar Tree (they didn't have the twelfth book titled The Rag and Bone Man). Jacob and his younger sister, Ava, live in Willow Creek. He notices the new neighbors moving in and how creepy the family of four are especially the son and daughter. Jacob's father comes home from work starts acting really strange and mean. His mother never seems to come home from work that night but she's also acting strange the next morning. The siblings go to school the next day and Jacob finds the teacher and principal acting strange too. They meet up with their friends, Alex and Noah, who also notice something weird is going on with the adults in town.
The four kids soon find that the Grimaldis are leading the whole town, adults and kids, into a strange madness. It's all tied to the Grim Reapers, their soul harvest and a book of names.
Plenty of tension and thrills with a good ending. My only complaint is that page seventy did not finish the last sentence on that page. Page seventy-one features a full page black and white illustration by Chloe Tyler of a grim reaper while chapter six starts on page seventy-two. This book either had a bad editor and/or proofreader. I still found the book worth reading and gave it an A- overall.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 23 Bonus: Maleficent Boo Bucket 2026
The Happy Meal Boo Buckets dropped at McDonald's on October 20, 2026. This year's theme is Disney Villains and includes Jafar from Aladdin, Scar from The Lion King, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Maleficent from Cinderella and Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmations My sister and I got the Maleficent Boo Bucket on Wednesday evening. I love the wraparound graphics but I think the color should have been purple insstead of green (hey I had to find a flaw somewhere).

Maleficent Boo Bucket 2026 Photo #1
The flimsy paper lid with one side having a variety of stickers including Cinderella and three fairy godmothers while the other side has a hide and seek game. Unfortunately, my lid got a little damage (another flaw).
Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 23: The Wishing Well by Edgar J. Hyde
The local Dollar Tree had three more books in the Creepers series a few weeks. I bought the first ten last year and posted about them then. The Wishing Well by Edgar J. Hyde is the eleventh book in the series. Aiden Walker and his parents just moved to the Waterwheel Farm. Already, he feels like an outsider, and he feels worse when he gets bullied on the first day at his new school. He finds a like-new well on the new farm and starts wishing ill on his tormentors. Bad things start happening to the bullies. Only Aiden can see the like-new well since others like his new friend, Jacob, and his parents only see an old well.
Before long, the vengeful ghost of a long dead witch named Spite reveals herself to Aiden. She has the ability to control water and ice. She wants revenge on the town that put her in the well. It's up to Aiden and his new older friend, Stephen, to stop her.
Fast paced with some good moments. There were some spelling and grammar errors, which makes me wonder if there was a proofreader. I still highly recommend reading it and gave it an A- overall.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 22: Ghost Face Punch and Spooky D Mystery Flavor
Fanta celebrated the 30th anniversary of the original Scream movie this Halloween season by releasing Ghost Face Punch as part of their Haunted Universe. I picked up a couple of bottles at the local Dollar General. I enjoyed the mixed berry flavor but not enough to buy a case of the cans. I didn't pick up any of the other flavors in the Fanta's Haunted Universe series because the only one I could find was cases of the Orange Fanta with the jack-o-lantern scarecrow cans.
Sunny D came out with Spooky D Mystery Flavor this year. It was available in big jugs and mini bottles. I got a case of the mini bottles at the local Walmart's because they didn't stock the big jugs. To me, the mystery flavor tastes like Starbursts, which was okay the first few bottles. I like the cute ghost and haunted house on the label.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 21: Elvira Enjoys Monster Cereals
It's Women Wednesday again and here are three ai images of Elvira enjoying bowls of monster cereals while wearing costumes inspired by them. I can't remember which Facebook group I got them from (I think they were in a couple of the Elvira ones). If you want credit, then make a comment.
First up, the Mistress of the Dark is enjoying Boo Berry while dressing up as the ghost:
Here's Elvira eating Count Chocula cereal while wearing a dress inspired by the chocolate-craving vampire (this one is my favorite):
Finally, here's Elvira enjoying Franken Berry while wearing a dress inspired by the monster:

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 20: Tiny Nightmares Series 1 Insert and Wrapper
I picked up four mystery bags of Tiny Nightmares at the local Dollar Tree a few weeks ago. I gave two to my sister and kept two. I won't show or tell you what figures I got yet but I will show the insert and wrapper. The mystery figures that are available are shown to be Michael Myers from Halloween II, Annabelle, Pennywise from the It movie, Regan from The Exorcist, Stripe from Gremlins, Sam from Trick 'r Treat, Chucky from Child's Play 2 and Tiffany from Bride of Chucky. Seems like the theme of Series 1 was dolls since there three of them. I'm hoping to find Tiny Nightmares Series 2 and 3 at the local Dollar Tree for next year but I'm not holding my breath.
Note: This post was not saved the first time I wrote it. A draft was saved missing the last three scans.

Countdown to Halloween 2016 Day 19: Wednesday Strawberry Snap Cereal Featuring Thing
The local Walmart's finally stocked the Wedneday cereals from Kellogg's the second week of October. The only one I picked up was the Strawberry Snap cereal featuring Thing (yeah, the hand from Addams Family not Marvel's Ben Grimm from the Fantastic Four). The strawberry flavoring is strong but it's also super sweet.
The back of the box features puzzles including hidden items in Thing's apartment, a match game and a maze. Each of the three cereals in the Wednesday line has different hidden picture puzzles.
The non-nutrition side panel has trivia questions. The other two cereals in the Wednesday cereal line has different trivia questions.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 26: Tiny Nightmares Series 1 Michael Myers Mini Figure
Here is the Michael Myers mini figure that I found in a Tiny Nightmares Series 1 mystery bag. He's the Halloween II movie edition.
Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 18: Jim Henson's Franken Berry 2026
Jim Henson's Franken Berry is back this year with him as a Muppet. This was the second monster cereal that I picked up at the local Walmart's last month.
Like the other two monster cereals, the back of the box has a Monster Maker so you can create your own Franken Berry Muppet after you cut out the pieces.
There is no toy prize inside this box either..

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 17: Jim Henson's Count Chocula
Here's this year's Jim Henson's Count Chocula from General Mills (yeah, he's a Muppet again). This was the first one I picked up at the local Walmart's last month.
The back of the box has a Monster Maker where you can create your own Count Chocula Muppet after cutting out the pieces.
Unfortunately, there's no toy prize in this box either.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 16: Jim Henson's Boo Berry 2026
General Mills brought back the collaboration with Jim Henson for this year's monster cereals (yep, they are Muppets again). The Jim Henson's Boo Berry was actually the last one I picked up at the local Walmart's last month.
The back of the box has a Monster Maker where you can create your own Boo Berry Muppet (yeah, you have to cut the pieces out).
Sadly, there is still no toy prize inside the box.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 15: Scream 2026 T-shirt
My sister found two black 3XL Scream t-shirts at the local Walmart's for three dollars each a few weeks ago. She gave me one and kept one for herself. It features Ghostface with the saying "What's your favorite scary movie?"
