James Spader In The Avengers: Age of Ultron

The fifty-three year old actor will be playing Ultron in the Avengers sequel but it is not known yet if he will just be voicing the character or actually appearing in it. I'm not a big fan of Ultron but I have been a fan of James Spader since he appeared in the tv series, Boston Legal. He is returning to tv this fall in NBC's The Blacklist.

Unknown Batman Action Figure Identified

After doing a lot of searching online, I finally identified the unknown Batman action figure that I recently bought at the local thrift store. Thanks to Figure Realm, I found out that he's a Batman (Light Suite) action figure from the 2005 Batman Begins Deluxe line. Unfortunely, mine is missing the orange winged cape part.

Thrift Store Finds: Action Figures And T-shirt

I hit the jackpot at one of the local thrift stores this morning. After weeks of not finding anything worthwhile, I found four action figures and a t-shirt. The action figures were each fifty cents.

First up is the Gorilla Grodd figure from McDonald's Brave & Bold Happy Meal from a few years ago:

Next up is the Playskool Iron Man figure from 2010 (I will admit that I missed up and didn't get the car that he was supposed to go with because it didn't look like they belonged together and they were not packaged together):

There was also a Spider-Man suction cup figure from McDonald's Happy Meal in 2009 (his head and arms at the shoulders do turn):

I have no clue as to this odd Batman action figure with the orange bat symbol on his chest other than in was made in China and the orange extensions on the removable back pack lights up (I had to clean the batteries for it to work):

Finally, I scored a XXL Batman: Arkham City t-shirt for three dollars. Here is a picture snapped with my crummy digital camera:

The Batcopters

Sorry about the lack of posts but I have not been getting much in the way of comics, action figures, toys or other related items lately. However, I did find an unexpected item that I just had to have since the price was right. I found a Hot Wheels HW Imagination #64 Batcopter for ninety-seven cents at the local Walmart's this morning.

Here is a picture of what it looks like when someone has a decent camera:

Here is a picture that I took with my inferior camera:

Yeah, big difference in quality. Anyway, I notice something odd about the Batcopter artwork and the actual toy: the canopy and wings are different colors. The artwork shows them as purple while the toy has them blue.

I dragged my only other Batcopter out of storage. I actually had a Corgi Junior 1978 Batcopter like the one below when I was a kid of thirteen.

Here is what it looked like when it was new and still in the package:

Unfortunately, I broke my Corgi Junior 1978 Batcopter out of the package and actually played with it so the half of the back blade is missing.

Here are my two Batcopters together:

I will have to say that the Corgi Junior 1978 Batcopter is still my favorite because of the Batman logo on it plus the black and red coloring.
