Firestorm, Solomon Grundy And Two-Face

Batman: The Brave And The Bold toys are back inside McDonald's Happy Meals but with a difference. Each of the package contains three toys. I managed to get my grubby hands on #2 that contained Firestorm, Solomon Grundy and Two-Face figurines. Grundy is the tallest of trio at 2 1/2" from foot to tip of left hand while the other two are 2 1/4" tall.

I like Firestorm the best because of his red legs, hair and nuclear blast is red plastic that sort of glows when held up to the light.

Solomon Grundy would make a great bodyguard:

Two-Face looks ready to flip his coin:

My camera did not capture the one side of the Happy Meal box that was devoted to Batman: The Brave And The Bold very well. Batman and Plastic Man are featured with the following text: "Follow this action-packed story! 1. On a dark, rainy night in Gotham City... 2. Bam!! There is a sudden, loud noise from The Joker's warehouse... 3. Batman & Friends rush to save the day! Finally, it was the moment of truth... Your turn! Use your Happy Meal toys and your imagination to finish this amazing adventure!"

The test in the bat-circle reads as follows: "Punch out this and use your Happy Meal box as your toys' hideout!"
Batman: The Brave And The Bold side of Happy Meal box
Two sides of the Happy Meal box is devoted to the Zoobles while one side has a smile. The toys also come with an insert that identifies the figurines plus a mCode to help Batman solve the McWorld mystery.

Major Chip Hazard 1998

Burger King put out action figures based on the movie, Small Soldiers from DreamWorks in 1998. The only one I have is Major Chip Hazard, which I must have picked up at a local thrift store years ago because there is no local BK.

Thrift Store Finds: Spider-Man Cars

I found two loose Spider-Man die cast cars this morning at a local thrift store for fifty cents each. Both were produced in 2006 by MGA. The first is a racing car while the second is a sleek one that looks like it came from the future.

Women Wednesday: Villainous Ladies Of Batman Live

These pictures are from the Batman Live Press Preview Clip 3, which you can watch here. The Joker not only introduces the Riddler and the Penguin but also Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman. I really like the costumes and I have no problem with Harley looking different than she appears in the cartoons, comics and games.

Mary Jane Watson 1995

This Mary Jane Watson figurine came in McDonald's Happy Meals in 1995. She was the fifth in the Spider-Man series but I had to find one at a local thrift store several years after they originally came out. I do not have the two pop on dresses (one was green with a black skirt while the other was red) or the two purses (one was white while the other was black). She stands a little over 3 1/4" and her facial features are pretty good considering the size.

You can buy a Mary Jane Watson still in the package below:

Spider Sense Peter Parker 1995

This Spider Sense Peter Parker action figure was put out by McDonald's in 1995 as part of their Spider-Man Happy Meal. I believe he was number seven in the series. He stands at 3 3/4" and the cool feature is that you can change his head from plain to half mask by rotating his right arm. The Spider Sense Peter Parker even comes with a non-removable camera in his left hand.

Toy Biz put out their own version of Spider Sense Peter Parker in 1995, which I do not have but can be  purchased from Amazon by using the link below:

Thrift Store Find: Spider-Man 2004 Mugs

I actually found these Spider-Man mugs at a local thrift store last Saturday but finally got around to snapping pictures of them today. They were produced by Sherwood in 2004 and each has two images of the webslinger. The Spider-Man mugs are in great condition and they only cost me a dollar for the pair.

Thrift Store Find: Spider-Man 2000 Chevrolet SSR

I found a Spider-Man 2000 Chevrolet SSR that Maisto produced in 2002 at a local thrift store yesterday. There is some wear and tear especially on the hood but I cannot complain since it was only fifty cents.

Dr Pepper Thor Can

Dr Pepper is promoting the upcoming Thor movie with their "Quest for the Can" contest. I bought a case of the cans at the local Super Wally World that had the God of Thunder on all of them. There are six collectible cans in the series plus the Hammer can. In addition to Thor, the cans feature the Destroyer, Heimdall, Loki, Sif and Warriors III. The text on the Thor can reads "Thor, the mighty hero of Asgard! The power of the storm is his to command!"

I did look at the Thor toys but I did not get any. The store had the small action figures, a large talking figure, the flimsy winged helmet, the Nerf hammer and the Nerf sword.
